Apolinar's Obituary
Apolinar Ruiz-Condor, 90, of Berrien Springs, MI, passed away at Lakeland Spectrum Hospital in St. Joseph on Wednesday, March 23, 2022. Arrangements have been entrusted to Heritage Chapel – 8747 US 31, Berrien Springs, MI.
Apolinar was born on August 18, 1931 in Cajamarca, Peru to the late Francisco and Lucinda (Condor) Ruiz. He owned and operated a cookie and candy company in Peru, often giving products away to the needy. He supported missions in Peru, loved his Bible, and was a faithful servant of God’s throughout his life.
He is survived by three children – Maria Malca of Chicago, Ruth (Vlatko) Benko of Berrien Springs and Samuel (Miriam) Ruiz of Berrien Springs; ten grandchildren; and a brother – Francisco Ruiz of Peru. Apolinar is preceded in death by his wife Armindina Ugaz Ruiz, a daughter Martha Plasencia and several brothers and sisters.
A Celebration of Life Service will take place on Sunday, March 27, at 8:30am, at the Pioneer Memorial Church – 8655 University Blvd, Berrien Springs, MI, with Pastor Jonathon Flores and Pastor Pedro Correa officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Berrien Springs. Friends wishing to leave the family a message of condolence may do so at www.heritagechapel.com
