Anthony "Tony"'s Obituary
Anthony Frank Wojtowicz, 68 of St. Joseph, passed away Wednesday January 18,2023 at home with his family by his side.
Tony was an automotive engineer in the Detroit metropolitan area for years before moving to St. Joseph to be closer to family in 2016 and working at Whirlpool before retiring in September 2019.
Tony will be remembered as a family man who would often say, he loved you…heart and soul. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who loved taking his grandchildren for doughnuts and ice cream.
He loved sports, especially golf and baseball, movies, music and playing Yahtzee and cards with his wife. Everyone loved talking to Tony, he had a magnetic personality and a special ability to connect with people through genuine conversation.
Tony will be missed by his wife of 45 years, Marsha (Gunn) Wojtowicz, whom he married June 17,1977 in Detroit, his children, Jill (Kevin) Mercury, and Ryan (Tara) Wojtowicz; his grandchildren , Ivan and Dasha Kunec, Betty and Ruby Mercury, and Louis, Henry, and Samuel Wojtowicz. He was preceded in death by his mother, Angeline Galwas.
A graveside committal service will be held at 3pm on February 17, 2023 at Riverview Cemetery, 2925 Niles Rd., St Joseph.
