Anthony (Tony) Baker passed away Thursday, December 30, 2022 at Corewell Health Lakeland Hospital in Saint Joseph, Michigan.

Anthony Francis Edward Baker was born on October 13, 1959 in Kewanee, Illinois, the second of three children and only son of Francis and Janice (Mitchell) Baker. Tony was a proud member of Benton Harbor Class of 1977. While at BHHS he participated in the Tiger Marching Band, Symphony Band and Pep Band where he was in the percussion section. He attended Northern Michigan University and moved to California in 1982, settling in Oakland. In 1986 he started employment at the East Bay Municipal District where he held various positions, retiring in 2014 as a truck driver and then he moved back to Benton Harbor to help care for his aging parents.
Tony loved playing the bass guitar and loved listening to music, fishing and computers. In October 2019 Tony married the love of his life, Donna, and together they both shared their love of gardening, family and spending time at home with each other.
Tony is survived by his wife Donna, son Bo Baker of Oakland, CA; daughter Libby Kennedy of Antioch, CA and sons Shawwon Butler of Antioch, CA; Kenneth-Albert Robinson of Saint Joseph, MO; and Gerald Mason of Muncie, IN; sisters Charlene Baker and Jacquelene (Jackie) Baker of Benton Harbor, MI; 14 grandchildren, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
