Annie's Obituary
Annie Marie Dwyer, age 73, was called home to rest and be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 24th, 2024 at her home in Ecorse, Michigan.
Annie, born February 10, 1951, was 1 of 4 children born from the union of the late Bemey and Collie Mae Armstrong. All 4 children were special to Bemey and Collie Mae, but with Annie, it was even more special being the only girl. She graduated from South Haven High School. From high school, Annie went on to be a seamstress and housekeeper. Through her union with Rockwell E. Dwyer, she only had 1 child on February 5, 1974, Brian Dwyer.
Annie had devoted her life to Christ at a very young age. She was a loyal and faithful member of Trinity Baptist Church of South Haven, Michigan until her relocation to the Detroit area in 2016. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, watching soap operas, word find puzzles, and listening to music. She was a very loving mother/grandmother. She loved her grandchildren dearly. Annie was a good friend to many and enjoyed laughing at every chance she could.
Annie leaves to cherish her memories: 1 son, Brian (Tameka) Dwyer of Detroit, MI, 3 grandchildren, Brian K. Dwyer Jr., Kyle E. Dwyer, and Lauren M. Dwyer and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and beloved friends.
Ms. Annie Dwyer was preceded in death by: parents, Bemey and Collie Mae Armstrong; 3 brothers, Maurice Armstrong, Charles Armstrong, and Melvin E. Armstrong Sr.
Visitation for Annie will be held Friday, October 11, 2024, from 12 p.m. until the time of her Funeral Service at 1 p.m., at Filbrandt Chapel, 1076 S. Bailey Ave. South Haven, Michigan 49090. Pastor Henry Allen will officiate. Annie will be laid to rest at Covert Cemetery.
