Angie was born on November 28, 1963, in Detroit, and was raised by Wesley & Lois (Kilmark) Arent. She graduated from Coloma High School in 1982, and continued her education by earning an associate degree from Lake Michigan College, & a bachelors and master’s degree from Western Michigan University. On May 23, 1987, Angie married the love of her life, grade school boyfriend, and high school confidant, Warren “Bud” Seabury at Coloma United Methodist Church. Angie’s passion in life was teaching. She taught 35 years at Washington and Coloma Elementary teaching kindergarten for 29 years and first grade for 6 years. She taught multiple generations and she was repeatedly requested by parents to be their child’s teacher. One of the favorite traditions at school was on the last day of school, Angie would do a cartwheel down the hall for every year she’s taught, putting smiles on all the children’s and faculties faces. Together, Angie & Bud had two sons, Wayne & Wesley. She loved her boys so much, often being heard saying “I love you more than pizza!” or “Stick together and don’t embarrass me”; she loved attending their sporting events with her trusty cow bell and iconic teal Jeep CJ7! She took great pride in whacking that cowbell to cheer her boys on, but also to throw off the other team. Being with her family and attending family events brought her joy; whether it was exploring lighthouses, waterfalls and geocaching or being the only female to play on the family “flag” football team on Thanksgiving, Angie always gave her 110% to being present in the moment.

Angie was so creative; she loved everything from scrapbooking important moments in her life to making pillows with her students for them to decorate as gifts for their parents. She also enjoyed doing puzzles, playing Euchre and other older arcade games, singing for church and weddings but most of all cheering on her Chicago Cubbies, Bears and Bulls!

Angie is survived by her husband of 35 years, Bud; sons, Wayne & Wesley; brother, Tom (Kelly) Arent of St. Joseph; nieces & nephews, Logan (fiancé, Hannah Racine), Makenzie, and Sophia Arent; sisters-in-law, Sandi (Michael) Olszewski, Vicki Seabury, and Barbie (Robert) Porphir. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wesley & Lois Arent; mother and father-in-law, Warren Seabury & Marilyn (Ed) Tokarz.
