Amelia Retz, 67, of St. Joseph, MI passed away on Wednesday, August 17, 2022 at Pine Ridge in Stevensville.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 1:00 P.M., Thursday, August 25, 2022 at Starks and Menchinger Chapel & Cremation Services, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, with Pastor Richard Kiser officiating. Inurnment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Watervliet. Friends may visit with the family from 12:00 P.M. until 1:00 P.M., Thursday at the funeral home. Amelia was born June 21, 1955 in Wichita, KS, to Robert & Geraldine (Bell) Selter. She graduated from Watervliet High School. On June 26, 1982 she married Robert Retz in St. Joseph. Amelia worked Wollin Products for 25 years as a Service Clerk as well as a Cashier at Walgreens for many years. In her spare time, she loved traveling especially to Niagara Falls and Northern Michigan. She also enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.
Amelia is survived by her children Rachel (Andrew Wagner) Retz, Wanda (Gregory) Campbell and Robert Retz; five grandchildren Sean Calmes, David Calmes, Alyssa (Justin) Tine, Caisey Calmes, and Chloe Wagner; and sister-in-law Nancy (David) Hipskind. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Robert.
