Alyce's Obituary

Alyce May Johnson, 86, formally from Grand Junction, passed away Monday, March 14, 2022. Born in Elk Rapids on May 18, 1935 to Ivan and Ruth Bacon. United in marriage to the late Harold Johnson Sr. at the St. Paul Episcopal Church in Elk Rapids, on June 6, 1953.

Alyce is survived by her children: Harold (Karen) Johnson Jr., Kathy (Terrie) Sands, Sheri (Gregory) Kuzma, 8 Grandchildren, 17 Great Grandchildren, 3 Great Great Grandchildren and brother Bill (Zita) Bacon.
Preceded in death by her husband of 59 years Harold Johnson Sr.

Alyce was a very loving mom, grandmother, and great grandmother. No matter how big or small, old, or young you were, everyone was getting her hugs and kisses. She was so tiny with a heart of gold. You could always feel her love. She loved her family dearly and never passed up the opportunity to be with them. You could always count on her to try and make you something to eat or get you something to drink when you came over. Most of the time she would not take no for an answer. She loved to take care of her family and anybody that would stop over for a visit.

Visitation for Alyce will be Friday, March 18, 2022, at Filbrandt Chapel, 1076 South Bailey Ave, South Haven, Michigan 49090, from 10:30 until the time of the Funeral Service at 11:30.

Alyce will be laid to rest at Fort Custer Cemetery, Augusta Michigan. Pastor Eric Jarvis will officiate.
