Alvin's Obituary
Alvin B. Pontius Jr., 84 of South Haven, passed away on Friday, December 30, 2022 at Medi lodge in Grand Haven Michigan. Born February 19, 1938 at the Swedish Covenant Hospital in Chicago, IL to Alvin Sr and Mary Pontius.
Alvin is survived by sister; Hope Priscilla Kurz of Arizona and adopted daughter, Casey Fry of Wyoming, Michigan.
Preceded in death by his parents Alvin Sr. and Mary Pontius.
Alvin was an avid reader, oil painter, sculptor and loved to draw. He attended and taught Art Classes at the Chicago Academy of Fine Arts. Alvin was often seen on his recumbent bicycle riding around South Haven, but mostly on the Kal-Haven Trail. He worked as a clerk at the Wolverine Hardware Store in South Haven.
