Albert Frank “Al” Olesch, 65, of New Buffalo, MI was called home to heaven, on August 5, 2022.
A Celebration of life Service will be held on Wednesday, August 10, 2022, at 12PM EST (11AM CST) at Sommerfeld Chapel, 15 N Barton St., New Buffalo. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery in New Buffalo. Friends may visit with the family from 11:00AM EST (10AM CST) until the time of service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions in Al’s name may be made to the Animal Welfare Coalition of Michiana. Those wishing to leave a message of condolence for the family may do so at, www.sommerfeldchapel.com.
Al was born September 20, 1956, in Chicago to Albert and Emilie (Hollman) Olesch. He graduated from Gage Park High School in 1974. Al was a handy man who was skilled in many trades; he worked as a painter for many years. Al also repaired TV’s and other electronics, which led him to own and operate his own TV repair Shop in New Buffalo. In his spare time, he enjoyed woodcarving and was an avid Chicago White Sox fan. Most of all he enjoyed time spent with his family.
Al is survived by his sisters, Kathy Olesch, Marie (Tom) Urso and Barbara (Ron) Ziarko. He was a proud uncle and great-uncle to Nick (Kelly) and Tony (Bas) Urso; Kim and Ryan Ziarko; and Gabby, Joe, Morgan, Tomasino, Valentina and Augustyn Urso. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Emillie Olesch.
