A B Phillips, 84, of Decatur, passed away on Saturday, May 13, 2023, at his home.
A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held on Friday, May 19, 2023, from 4:00PM until 7:00PM at Clark Chapel, 405 Center St. Dowagiac. A B was born March 24, 1939, in Stigler, OK, to Virgil and Rosie (Mathews) Phillips. On January 18, 1963, he married the love of his life, Mary Thomas. A B was a hardworking man; he owned and operated his own concrete business for many years before his retirement. He had a love for the outdoors, where he enjoyed fishing and hunting. In his spare time, he liked to go to antique malls. Most of all he loved his family and will be greatly missed.
A B is survived by his loving wife, Mary Phillips; daughter, Patricia “Trish” (Duane) Bailey; grandchildren, Whitney Emerson and Kayla Dodd; 7great-grandchildren; and 7 siblings; he was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Rosie Phillips.
