Shirley's Obituary
Shirley Elaine King (Millen) 86, of South Haven, passed away at her home on Tuesday, August 3, 2021. She was born June 3, 1935 to Fred and Rose Anna (Deniston) Millen in Alamo, Michigan. Shirley married Willard Wayne King on October 30, 1954 where they shared 54 years of marriage before his passing in 2009. She was a wonderful homemaker with many hobbies to keep her busy. Shirley loved sewing, crocheting, gardening and traveling. She was always on the go, looking for bargains at Goodwill, Wal Mart or yard sales. Shirley was very humble. She had a special love for her children.
Shirley is preceded in death by her parents, husband and grandson, Edward Ray Wells.
Shirley is survived by her children; Mary Carpenter, Carol King, Peggy (Gary) Pendergrass, John (Rhonda) King, Bonnie Beagle, Willard (Kim) King, Jr., and Richard (Melissa) King. She also leaves behind 27 grandchildren, 58 great grandchildren and 19 great, great grandchildren. Also surviving are her sister Helen Millen and longtime friend George Bush.
Visitation will take place on Saturday, August 7, 2021 from 4:00 P.M. – 5:00 P.M. at Filbrandt Chapel in South Haven. Funeral service will follow at 5:00 P.M. at Filbrandt Chapel.
