Jeannie's Obituary
Jeannie Mortorff, 90, of Glenn, passed away Monday, June 21, 2021 at her home under hospice care. She was born February 6, 1931 to Alex and Eva (Masley) Keslowski in Paw Paw, Michigan. Jeannie married Herbert Mortorff on February 1, 1950 in Sodus, Michigan. They shared 65 years in marriage before Herb’s passing in 2015. Jeannie worked on the family farm and loved raising flowers and her vegetable garden each year. She was a giving person by nature and loved to do things for others. She especially enjoyed baking and was known for her nut roll, yellow bread, cabbage rolls, and poppy seed bread.
She is preceded in death along with her husband by a grandson – Michael Dale Mortoff and siblings – Irene Kucinich, Dorothy Juriga, Bill, and John Keslowski.
Jeannie is survived by her children – Jacqueline Mortorff and Michael (Mary Lou) Mortorff both of Glenn; granddaughter – Tiffany (Dan) Schout; great grandchildren – Aydan, Scarlett, and Arabella.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, June 24, 2021 with Pastor David Meister officiating at the McDowell Cemetery in Casco Township. Contributions may be made in Jeannie’s memory to the Wings of Hope Hospice, 530 Linn Street, Allegan, Michigan 49010.
