William's Obituary
William Alvin Maynard, 89, of South Haven, passed away Tuesday, April 20, 2021 peacefully in his home under hospice care. He was born April 30, 1931 to George and Myrtle (Henry) Maynard in South Haven, Michigan. He married Lillian Dian Fellows on July 10, 1982 and they shared 39 years of marriage before his passing. William served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He then worked for Everett Piano as a line worker for 31 years. He enjoyed going fishing and watching football, and baseball; especially the Chicago Cubs. He loved to be outdoors, especially mowing on his riding lawn mower. William was a member of the Elks, Moose, VFW and the American Legion.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his daughter, Brenda Maynard.
William is survived by his wife, Lillian Maynard, ten children, his brother – Harry Maynard of South Haven, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Monday, April 26, 2021 from 3:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. at Filbrandt Family Funeral Home in South Haven. Funeral services will follow at 4:00 P.M. at the funeral home with Pastor Rodney Walker officiating.
