Eric's Obituary
Eric Thomas Murphree, 26, of Grand Junction, passed away Friday, April 16, 2021 at the Spectrum Health Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph, Michigan. Eric was born October 14, 1994 to Pat and Amanda (Gilbert) Murphree in Searcy, Arkansas. He loved being outdoors fishing and climbing trees. His love of the outdoors led him to work in tree trimming for Asplundh Tree Service for the past four years. Eric also enjoyed swimming, camping, playing with his nieces and nephews, shopping and playing video games.
Eric is survived by his parents – Pat and Amanda Murphree of Grand Junction; fiancée – Madison Avery and his step-children – Ronin Barr and Olive Avery of Bangor; siblings – Shellie (Travis Cummins) Murphree of Grand Junction and Bobbie (Heaven Councilor) Murphree of Grand Junction; nieces and nephews – Bobbie Murphree, Jr., Brooklynn Councilor, BrileyAna Murphree, Mary Tomsic, Travis Cummins, Jr., and Madisyn Cummins.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home in South Haven. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 6:30 PM with Pastor Eric Jarvis officiating at the funeral home. Eric will be laid to rest at Velvet Ridge Cemetery in Velvet Ridge, Arkansas.
