Charles Arthur Rehfeld, Jr.

Charles “Chuck” Arthur Rehfeld, Jr., 73, of South Haven, passed away Saturday, February 6, 2021 at the South Haven Nursing and Rehabilitation Community. He was born November 7, 1947 to Charles and Alice (Rassmussen) Rehfeld, Sr. in South Haven. Chuck married Cheri Lynn Brasfield in December of 1979. They shared 42 years in marriage. Chuck loved living and doing business in South Haven. Fondly remembered as “The Dreamer” he had great vision and entrepreneurial ideas, many of which culminated in successful businesses.

Chuck also loved cars. His passion was anything that had wheels, most especially his red Prowler that he loved giving rides to anyone who would ask. He enjoyed his Harley and loved to tell the stories of Outrider days and of his experiences that would make all in the room laugh. Chuck always had an automobile detailing business at his home and there was no one who could make an auto look like he could. He took great pride in his work. Chuck also took great pride in serving with the South Haven Fire Department from 1973 until 1982.

He also had a passion for animals. His love for his cats, deer and turkey kept him busy in his later years.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Chuck is survived by his wife – Cheri Lynn Rehfeld of South Haven, children – Darren (Jessica) Charles Rehfeld of Grand Rapids and Kevin (Colleen) Niles of Washington State, grandchildren – Grace Magnolia Rehfeld and Baby Boy Rehfeld who is due to arrive in June, 2021, sister – Renee (Garry) Brown of Oxnard, California, nephew and niece – Jeremiah Acerra of California and Melissa (Tim) Martin of Colorado.
