Grace's Obituary
Grace B. Mitchell, 92, of Bangor, passed away Sunday, January 24, 2021 at the Graceway at Countryside Nursing Home in South Haven. She was born October 8, 1928 to Maurice and Francis Beatrice (Clairbourne) Godde in Petersburg, Virginia. Grace married James E. Mitchell on July 18, 1945 in Petersburg, Virginia. They shared 67 years of marriage before James’s passing in 2012. Grace worked at Murphy’s in South Haven for many years and also owned and operated Mitchell’s Patch of Blueberry Farm. She was a member of the Greater Faith Apostolic Church in Benton Harbor, Michigan.
She is preceded in death by her husband – James E. Mitchell.
Grace is survived by her sons – Larry (Ginny) Mitchell, Craig (Tina) Mitchell both of Bangor, nephew - Keith McCord of Huntington Beach, California who she raised, grandchildren – Meledi Rigozzi, Marcus Mitchell, Kyle Mitchell, and Lena Zugger, great grandchildren – Creela Mitchell, Jaycee Mitchell, Eileah Zugger, and Mahra Rigozzi. Several nieces, nephews, and other extended family members and friends also survive.
