Kathryn A. Teske

Kathryn Arleen Teske, 88, of South Haven, passed away Thursday, January 7, 2021 at Ascension Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo, Michigan. She was born May 17, 1932 to Allen and Sally (Falk) Albright in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Kathryn married Clarence Teske on June 14, 1953 at St. Andrew Reformed Church in Allentown, Pennsylvania. They shared 65 years of marriage before Clarence’s passing in 2018. Kathryn was a member of Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church in South Haven. She enjoyed listening to music including Christian Praise and Big Band music.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Teske, Son-in-law, Ben Schmidt, and her parents.

Kathryn is survived by her children – Tim (Ann Marie) Teske of South Haven and Sharon Schmidt of Plainwell; grandchildren – Angela (John) Janssen, Laura (Nate) Schubkegal, Gretchen Schmidt, Meredith Schmidt, Douglas Mayhew, and Rachel (Rick) Knapik; and eleven great grandchildren – all of whom she loved dearly. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Memorial services will be held at 11:30 AM on Friday, January 15, 2021 with Pastor Travis Wilson officiating at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home in South Haven. Kathryn will be laid to rest at Lake View Cemetery in South Haven, Michigan.
