Geneva's Obituary
Geneva Jones, of Kalamazoo, 56, passed away on December 31, 2020 at her home in Kalamazoo. One of 25 siblings, she was born August 1, 1964 to her parents Tommie Jones and Gussie Jones (Kersh) in Eau Claire, Michigan. Geneva was known for her infectious smile and sense of humor. She loved to make those around her laugh as well as having a ticklish soul herself. Geneva also enjoyed spending time in the park. She was also an avid movie watcher, with scary movies being her favorite and a Little house on the Prairie fan.
But what Geneva loved the most was spending time with her 17 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, who she is survived by. She is also survived by her children, Kimberly (Danny) Dingle of Chicago, Deseray Hale of Chicago, Vance Hale of Parcment, Demetrios Triplett of Bangor, Norma Triplett of Kalamazoo Janine Jones of Kalamazoo. She is also survived by her best friends, Susan Tucker and Belinda Hale.
She is preceded in death by her parents a host of siblings and son Corey Hale.
A wake will be held from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Tuesday, January 12, at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home in South Haven. The funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM with Pastor Charles Knox officiating.
