Juanita's Obituary
Juanita Young, 74, of Benton Township, passed away Thursday, December 10, 2020 at the Spectrum Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph, Michigan. Juanita was born September 5, 1946 to Robert Young and Melissa (Powell) Tyler in Chicago, Illinois. Juanita loved reading, traveling, working in the yard, and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents and siblings – Willia Mae Jordan, Leona Young, Annie Watkins, Robert Tyler, and Jimmy Young.
Juanita is survived by her children – Kristopher (Hazel) Young of Columbus, Ohio and Tisa Young of
Benton Harbor; grandchildren – Terry Young, Johaya Young, Daynise Williams, Aniyah Young, Samantha Young, Daniel Young, and Akeem Warren, Jr.; sisters – Georgia Young of South Haven and Freddie Williams of Chicago, Illinois.
Wake will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow the wake at 11:00 AM with Rev. Rodney Gulley officiating at the Funeral Home. Juanita will be laid to rest at Covert Cemetery near her sister Annie.
