James Richard Wolf

James Richard Wolf, 82, of South Haven, passed away Monday, November 30, 2020 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born February 13, 1938 to Fred and Helen (Welch) Wolf in South Haven. James married Betty Lou Robinson on December 8, 1958 in Adrian, Michigan. They shared 62 years in marriage. He honorably served his country in the United States Air Force. James worked for Lovejoy Manufacturing and Bohn Aluminum in South Haven. He was a member of the Moose Lodge and the Sons of the American Legion. James was an outdoorsman who loved fishing, hunting, and, most of all, gardening. He loved his fresh fruit and vegetables, pickled cucumbers and cauliflower, bologna and eggs. He loved his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brother – Jack Wolf, and sister-in-law – Judy Wolf.

James is survived by his wife – Betty Lou Wolf of South Haven; children – Jimmy (Jeannie) Wolf of South Haven, Lisa (Brian) Griffin of South Haven, and DeAnn (Mike) Ritchie of Bangor; grandchildren – Jennifer (Shaun) Brown of South Haven and Matthew (Rhea) Griffin of Cary, North Carolina; five great-grandchildren – Carson, Damon and Fallon Brown, and Aspen and Royce Griffin.

Private family services will be held at Filbrandt Family Funeral Home with Pastor Eric Jarvis officiating. James will be laid to rest at Lake View Cemetery in South Haven, Michigan.
