Beatrice's Obituary
Beatrice “Bea” Landry, 95, of South Haven, passed away Wednesday, November 25, 2020 peacefully at Graceway - Countryside Nursing and Rehabilitation Community. She was born January 8, 1925 in Bangor, Michigan to Muryl and Arlene (Stickles) Eldred. On January 17, 1942 Bea married Elmer Landry in South Haven, Michigan. They enjoyed 58 years of marriage before his passing in 2000. Bea was a member of Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church. She worked previously at South Haven Community Hospital, MacKenzie’s Bakery, South Haven Rubber and Dr. Morgan and Dr. Morgan MD and DDS. In her free time, Bea enjoyed making quilts, creating special memories with her grandchildren and working in her yard.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband and three brothers, Muryl Eldred, Frank Eldred and Ronald Eldred.
Bea is survived by her children Arthur (Barb Lute) Landry of South Haven, and Crystal (Donald) Hodges of Phoenix, Arizona; three grandchildren Anthony Hodges, Christina Mantz and Megan Landry; six great grandchildren Sam, David, T.J., John, Annie, Reagan and Logan; siblings Arthur of Fountain Hills, Arizona, Gene Eldred of Sateen, California as well as many nieces and nephews.
Private family services will be held at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home with Pastor Travis Wilson officiating. Bea will be laid to rest at North Shore Memory Gardens in Hagar Shores. Memorial contributions can be made to Peace Lutheran Church, 06321 Blue Star Hwy, South Haven, Michigan 49090.
