Larry's Obituary

 

Larry L. Hacker, 61, of Grand Junction, died November 19, 2020 in Grand Junction. 

Larry was born in St. Joseph on April 1, 1959, the son of LaMoyne “Bud” and Elizabeth (Minton) Hacker. He earned a diploma in T.V. repair from ITT for 26 years he worked at South Haven Community Hospital, first as an inventory clerk. His care for other people inspired him to take a new position with Fresenius Kidney Care and later in home health care in South Haven. In his spare time, he loved to fish.

Larry is survived by his wife Julia Hacker of Grand Junction; children Arlene “Lena” Hacker of Grand Junction and Richard (Emily) Hacker of Watervliet; siblings Lora (Craig) Blank of Dowagiac, Lloyd (Sally) Hacker of South Haven, Linn (Roberta) Hacker of Mecosta; and two grandchildren R.J. Hacker and Jonathan Hacker.

 He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Linda Overhuel.

 Graveside services will be held Monday, December 7, 2020 at 1:00 PM at Chambers Cemetery in Geneva Township with Pastor Gary Guthrie officiating. Current COVID-19 restrictions will be followed and masks are required. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Larry’s memory to the South Haven Community Church, 1045 E. Wilson Street, South Haven, Michigan 49090.
