Rodger's Obituary
Rodger Sampson, Sr., 86, of Pullman, passed away Monday, October 5, 2020 at his home under hospice care. He was born March 16, 1934 to Charles and Dorothy (Edwards) Sampson in Erie, Pennsylvania. Rodger married Charlotte Hatch on January 20, 1955. They shared 64 years in marriage before her passing in 2019. Rodger enjoyed watching westerns. He also liked to spend his time outdoors. He attended the Ray of Light Church of God.
He is preceded in death along with his parents by his wife – Charlotte Sampson and son – Wendell Sampson.
Rodger is survived by his children - Randy (Tammy) Sampson and Marietta (Larry) Marsden of Fennville, Char Sampson of Pullman, Rodger Jr. (Vicky) Sampson of Buckner, Illinois, Roxanna (Jim) Chastain of Indiana, Ray Sampson of Gillete, Arkansas, and Carl (Dorie) Sampson of Norfolk, Nebraska; fourteen grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM on Sunday, October 11, 2020 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home in South Haven. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, October 12, 2020 at the funeral home with Pastors Bud Bradford and Mary Hoots officiating. Rodger will be laid to rest at Fennville Cemetery next to his wife Charlotte.
