Barbara's Obituary
Barbara Lee Houlberg, 88, of South Haven, passed away Saturday, August 22, 2020 at her home under hospice care. She was born December 12, 1931 to Arthur and Mary Ann (Whittlesey) Houlberg in Crystal Lake, Illinois
She loved trees, flowers, gardening, dogs, art, books, polemics, men, dancing, 17th-century music and drawing, choral music, Paul Dickerson, water, light, frogs, food, Jesus Christ, TV, Birds, teaching, Burger King Whoppers, old people and Casco Township; and not necessarily in that order. She was an artist, a teacher, an activist for the elderly and a fighter against injustice whenever it crossed her path.
She is preceded in death by her son – Paul W. Dickerson.
