Kevin's Obituary
Kevin Lee Hayes, 45, of Bangor, passed away Saturday August 8, 2020 peacefully in his home under hospice care. He was born October 2, 1974 to Robert and Jean (Higgs) Hayes in South Haven, Michigan. Kevin graduated with the class of 1992 from South Haven High School. Kevin married Rachel Sanford on July 14, 2017 in Paw Paw and they shared 11 years together before his passing. He worked as an industrial mechanic for Myers Forklift in Dowagiac for many years. Kevin enjoyed hunting, fishing and bowling. He also loved driving his jeep at Silver Lake and spending time with family.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Clara and Dorwin Hayes and Gene and Anna Higgs.
Kevin is survived by his wife, Rachel Hayes; children – Skilar Davis and Mason Hayes of Bangor, parents – Robert and Jean Hayes of Grand Junction; Brother – Robert (Amy) Hayes Jr. of Grand Junction, nephews – Jordan (Lauren Harry) Hayes and Collin Hayes; great nephew – Levi Taylor Hayes; sister-in-laws – Amanda Smith of Mattawan and Brenna Redaway of South Haven; mother-in-law – Paula Cummins of Bangor, and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
