Wanda's Obituary

Wanda Lou Tripp, 76, formerly of South Haven, passed away Sunday, August 2, 2020 in Odenville, Alabama. She was born on June 15, 1944 to Coy and Margaret Alean (Thrift) Hackworth in Hornersville, Missouri.  Wanda married Jack Tripp, Jr.  on May 15, 1964 in South Haven, Michigan and they shared 23 years of marriage before his passing in 1987.  She attended South Haven Schools.  Wanda worked at South Haven Coil for many years and also at Murphy’s Dime Store and Consumer’s Discount.   She loved going to church and, while in Odenville, attended the Oak Grove Baptist Church #2 in Ragland, Alabama.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband – Jack Tripp, and twin sister – Vonda Sue Hackworth.

Wanda is survived by her son – Rob (Diane Wilson) Tripp of Grand Junction, sisters – Nella Joyce Mitchell of Mulberry, Florida, and Vicky Lynn Rowe of Paragould, Arkansas, grandchildren – Jackie Tripp, Michael Coy Tripp both of Fennville and Joshua Tripp; step-grandchildren – Chelsea and Elizabeth Rasmus of Fennville, Ammary Peterson, Jr., Peyton and Melody Haggerty; great granddaughter – Serena May Tait; and special cousin – Nona (George) Johnson of Odenville, Alabama.  Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Graveside services will take place Saturday, August 15, at 10:30 A.M. at Chambers Cemetery in Geneva Township with Trenton Schoolcraft officiating.
