Lois's Obituary

Lois Faye Moret, 90, of South Haven, passed away Monday, July 6, 2020 peacefully in her home under hospice care. She was born April 5, 1930 to Mendel and Goldie Goldberg in Chicago, Illinois. Lois married Bernard Moret on May 28, 1950 in Chicago and they shared 54 years of marriage before his passing. Lois was first and foremost a beloved mother. She also co-owned Howards Motors and the Lion’s Den. Lois loved to play bingo, gamble at the casino and paint paint by numbers. She was a member of First Hebrew Congregation in South Haven.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband - Bernard Moret, son – Howie Moret, and brother – Herbie Goldberg.

Lois is survived by her son – Harold “Larry” (Wendi) Moret of Bangor, daughter-in-law – Christine Moret of South Haven, grandchildren – Jeffrey Allen Moret and Julie (Dan) Moret Renner; great grandchildren - Joe, Zoey, and Clayton; and special friends – Audrey Frabe, Rachel Grigg; niece – Karyn Adler Fasel and family, and all the staff at Caring Circle Hospice at Home.

Visitation will be Thursday, July 9, 2020 from 1:30 P.M. - 2:00 P.M. at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home in South Haven, Michigan.  Graveside services will take place Thursday, July 9, 2020 at 2:30 P.M. at First Hebrew Congregational Cemetery in South Haven, Michigan with Mr. Lou Price officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Lois’s honor to First Hebrew Congregation at 249 Broadway Street, South Haven, MI 49090.
