Francisca's Obituary
Francisca Garcia Langston, 81, of Kalamazoo and formerly of South Haven, passed away Sunday, July 5, 2020, peacefully in her home. She was born February 22, 1939 to Pabreno Perez and Irene Garcia in Mexico. Francisca married Lamar Langston on March 28, 1988 in Saugatuck. Francisca worked as a Dietary Aide at Countryside Nursing Home in South Haven for fifteen years. She enjoyed gardening and knitting and was an excellent cook. Everyone enjoyed her hot tamales. Francisca always had birds and dogs as pets. She will be especially missed by her dog, Frisky.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
Francisca is survived by her husband, Lamar, children - E’Sean (Amanda) Langston and Edward (Lolita) Garcia Ross of Kalamazoo, Thomas (Nancy) Garcia, Ernesto Garcia, and Lisa (Chris) Standerford of South Haven, Joe (Connie) Garcia of Coloma, Dan (Margurita) Handy of Hakensack, New Jersey and Theresa Chevali of Noel, Missouri; brother - Juan (Jovita) Perez of Holland; special grandchildren - Fabian Handy, Samantha, Aiden, and Gavin Garcia, Jourdin and Jafalan Brown, Edward Garcia Marcarno, Trichele, Aries, and E’Sean Jr. Langston.; nieces - Rica, Anna and Maria and a host of grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will take place Friday, July 10, 2020 from 9:30 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. at Filbrandt Family Funeral Home in South Haven. Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 A.M. at St. Basil Catholic Church in South Haven with Father Jim Morris officiating.
