Teresa Stevens

Teresa Stevens 61, of Pullman went home to be with our Lord on July 2, 2020.  She was born on December 24,1958 in Allegan, Michigan and lived her entire life in the Pullman area.  She is proceeded in death by her parents, Naomi and Thomas Wright, her father and mother-in-law, Harold and Freda Stevens, her brother-in-law, Ronald Stevens and a sister, Linda Foster.

Teresa married her rock, Ted Stevens, on November 2, 1981 and raised three children.

Teresa will be missed by her husband of nearly 39 years, her children; Tracy Stevens of Pullman, Michigan, Kenneth (Amy) Stevens of Bangor, Michigan and Dawn (Bob) Tillery of Lakeland, Florida.   Her grandchildren; Heather (Chris) Malburg, Bridgette Tillery, Bobby Tillery, Cory (Morgan) Stevens, Chelsea Stevens, Anna Stevens, Dylan Lopez, Alexis, Dale and Breanna.  Her great grandchildren; Coden Cadwell, Marlee Tillery, Haiden Malburg, Sirius Malburg, Rosalyn Stevens and Daisy Stevens.  Three brothers; Gerald Simkins, Dennis Simkins and Jody Simkins of Pocahontas, Arkansas and sister Carrie (Larry) Maccune of Pullman, Michigan.  Also surviving; many other family members, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Teresa enjoyed many years living a farm life; raising animals, gardening and planting.  Every fall she was found canning and freezing for the winter months.  She was a proud American and proud to be from Michigan.  She always had a flag waving in her yard and home.  She enjoyed spending high times with her friends.  In the spring, she enjoyed fishing and hunting for morel mushrooms.  More of her hobbies consisted of collecting memories, playing hay day, watching television, decorating and celebrating every holiday.

She enjoyed life and lived each day happy.  She was the best mom and wife she could be.  She loved her family and friends.  Her life was very content and she had everything she could ever want.

Visitation will be at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, July 6, 2020, at Filbrandt Family Funeral Home in South Haven, Michigan.  Funeral service will follow at 2:30 p.m. with  Dr.  Jeffrey Stephens officiating. Teresa will be laid to rest at McDowell Cemetery in Casco Township.   Luncheon with the family at the Ganges United Methodist Church to follow.
