Loren's Obituary
Loren N. Pensinger, Sr., 87, of South Haven, left this world Wednesday, June 10, 2020. Loren was born March 22, 1933 on the Pensinger Family Farm in South Haven to Loren J. and Mary (Jensen) Pensinger. He proudly served in the United States Army in Korea. After his service, Loren raised a family and, following a career with Jewel-Osco, retired to a quiet life in South Haven. He continued to serve his country and fellow veterans with many years in the American Legion Post 49 Honor Guard.
Loren enjoyed reminiscing about growing up on the family farm, his days at Jericho School and camping with his children in Irons, Michigan. He enjoyed watching baseball, fishing and family celebrations with good food and loud laughter.
He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings Grace, Irene, Virginia, Harry, Robert, Eugene, Stella, Ruth, Musett, Ray, and Fern.
Loren is survived by his children – Melody Brewer, Loren P. (Caroline) Pensinger, Jr., and Alice (Joe) Handlang; granddaughters – Tecla Brewer, Crystal Seward, Brandi Coulombe and Desirae Coulombe; great grandchildren – Veda and Henry; brothers – George (Ida) Pensinger, Sr., Lavern Pensinger, and Glenn (Valerie) Pensinger, Sr. Many nephews and nieces and long-time friend – Joyce Abbott also survive.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Tuesday, June 16, 2020 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home in South Haven. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 PM at the funeral home.
