Wade's Obituary

Wade Icie McPeak, 81, of South Haven, passed away Thursday, May 21, 2020 at his daughter’s home under Hospice care. He was born October 18, 1938 to Wade and Loretta (Jones) McPeak in Marston, Missouri. Wade honorably served his country in the United States Army and National Guard. Wade married Margaret “Peggy” Goheen on February 9, 1963. They shared 52 years in marriage before her passing in 2015. Wade worked in tool and die in the automotive industry at National Motors, American Seating, Bohn Aluminum, Pullman Industries, and as a driver for McFadden Friendly Motors. He later graduated from Lake Michigan College in 1980. He loved bowling and was a pilot.

He is preceded in death along with his wife and parents by siblings – Autry, Jimmy, Agnus, WA, TJ, and Charlie McPeak.

Wade is survived by his children – Elizabeth Anderson and Jane Dykstra both of South Haven; siblings – Billy (Kay) McPeak of Grand Haven, Margie Molette of Wyoming, Michigan, and Phylis Reyna, Brenda Blanchard, and Alice Bradford all of South Haven; six grandchildren – Laura (Frank) Kahsar, Benjamin Anderson, Robert (Maria) Dykstra, Jr., Emily (Scott) Murk, Wade (Amanda) Dykstra, and William Anderson; eleven great grandchildren; son-in-laws – Bob Dykstra and Ben Newton.

A memorial gathering will be held at the American Legion Post # 49 in South Haven at a later date.
