Virginia's Obituary
Virginia Martinez deLorenzo, 81, of Bangor, passed away Saturday, May 16, 2020 at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo, Michigan. She was born November 13, 1938 to Juaquin Martinez and Elidia Flores in Azulaquiz Guerrero, Mexico. Virginia married Cornelio Lorenzo Ortiz in Ixcapuzalco, Guerrero, Mexico in 1956 and they shared 56 years of marriage before his passing in 2012. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and visiting with family. Virginia was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and will be dearly missed.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Cornelio Lorenzo Ortiz, son, Juan Kirino Lorenzo, and brother, Roberto Martinez.
Virginia is survived by her sons – Hipolito (Martha), Adelfo (Marcolfa), Marcial (Maria), Fernando (Martha Rodriguez) and Guadalupe (Yadira) Lorenzo, daughters – Alva (Adrian) and Adaly Ever (Arturo Rivas) Lorenzo and Marisol Segura; 30 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren
A visitation will take place Friday, May 22, 2020 from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home in South Haven. Funeral mass will follow at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home with Father Fabio Garzon officiating. Virginia will be laid to rest at Arlington Cemetery in Bangor.
