Aniceto's Obituary
Aniceto “Jr.” Martinez age 57 of South Haven passed away surrounded by family on Friday, February 28, 2020 in South Haven. He was born on April 26, 1962 to Aniceto and Ofelia Martinez in Baraboo, Wisconsin. Jr. worked at Donnelly-Magna for 34 years retiring last October.
Jr. enjoyed carpentry, golf, gardening and being surrounded by his family. He was always known to be the “Rock” that many people learned to turn to for guidance and advice in so many ways. His grandchildren were his world always coming up with activities or projects to do with them including taking them camping every summer.
Surviving is his companion – Linda Martinez. Children – Mirranda (Bradley) Cruea of Bangor, Brittany (Mike) Ockerman of South Haven and Jason Kimmel of Allegan. Grandchildren – Joseph, Emmett, Asia, Cameron, Angel, Jeremiah, Andrew and Alyssa. Parents – Aniceto and Ofelia Martinez of Holland. Siblings – Alejandro Martinez, David Martinez, Esther Martinez, Gerardo Martinez, Jose Martinez, Carolina Azari and Natalia Hoeksema. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Friday, March 6, 2020 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 11:00 AM with Father James Morris officiating. Contributions can be made to Al Van Humane Society, PO Box 421, South Haven, MI 49090.
