James Joseph Lambert, 83, of South Haven, MI, formerly of Orion, IL, passed away January 9, 2020 at his home in South Haven under hospice care.
James was born on November 12, 1936 in South Haven, MI, the son of Frank Lambert and Irene (Kendall) Lambert.
James was a 1954 graduate of South Haven High School and a Korean War veteran (United States Navy).
Survivors include his sister, Janet LaVean, Highland, MI, children with Judith (Auensen) Quake: Cary Lambert, Holland, MI, Vicki Lambert-Rodden, College Station, TX and Bradley Lambert, South Haven, MI. Step-children Carrie (Dave) Sebetka, Cedar Rapids, IA; Tim (Kim deceased) Jones, Brooklyn Park, MN; Doug Jones, MI, Scott (Mona) Jones, Longmont, CO, Steve Jones, IA, and Kathy Hougland, Davenport, IA; 14 grandchildren. James is preceded in death by his parents, a son, Vaughn Lambert, and his wife, Sue (Hamlin) Lambert.
A private burial will be held at McDowell Cemetery, South Haven, MI. Memorials may be made to St Paul Lutheran Church, Orion, IL or Peace Lutheran Church, South Haven, MI.
