David's Obituary

David A. Reynolds, 67, of Dowagiac, passed away on Sunday, October 3, 2021, at his home. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday October 8, 2021, at 1:30PM at Clark Chapel, 405 Center St. Dowagiac, with Pastor Stacey Wilder officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 1:00PM until the time of service. Immediately following services, David’s family would like to invite his family and friends to gather at the Dowagiac Moose Lodge, 54867 M-51 N. for a time of food and fellowship from 3:00PM until 5:00PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in David’s name may be made to the Cass County Animal Shelter. Friends wishing to leave the family a message of condolence may do so at www.newellchapel.com. David was born March 9, 1954, in St. Joseph, to Ernest and Dorothy (Hiler) Reynolds. He always lived life to the fullest. David was a proud citizen of the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians. He was a hard-working man, he lived out his working career in NY as an Iron Worker before moving back to Dowagiac. He loved nature and the outdoors. David enjoyed music, dancing and learning new things about the universe. Most of all he loved his family and will be greatly missed. David is survived by his siblings, Marjorie (Mike Shustha) Reynolds of Grand Rapids, Rodney Reynolds of Benton Harbor, Mark Reynolds of Florida, Brenda Reynolds of Dowagiac, and Lisa (Bill) Butcher of Grand Rapids; brother-in-law, Bob Fredericks; 2 nieces, a nephew, 9 great-nieces and nephews; and numerous aunts, uncles’ cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Peggy Reynolds; and nephew, Duane Matlack-knight.
