Stephen Ray “Steve” Stuckey, Jr., 44, of Eau Claire, passed away on Saturday, October 2, 2021, at Spectrum Health Lakeland. A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, October 7, at 11 AM at Eau Claire Student Activity Center, 6238 W. Main St., Eau Claire, with Pastor Glen Head officiating. Burial will follow at Caldwell Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, October 6, from 4:30 PM until 7:30 PM at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Memorial contributions may be made to Lindsay Stuckey/Honor Credit Union, an account established to help continue the education for Steve’s children. Those wishing to leave an online condolence may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com. Steve was born on June 4, 1977, in Berrien Center, to Stephen Ray Stuckey, Sr., and Jacalyn (Yost) Medlin. He graduated from Eau Claire High School in 1996. On August 1, 2014, Steve married Lindsay Harner at their home surrounded by friends and family. Steve loved being home with family and always welcomed friends and extended family to socialize, grill and have a good time. He was a quiet man and his wit would always bring a smile to our faces. For many years, Steve worked in Construction with Matt Ferry and recently he worked as Head of Maintenance for his alma mater, Eau Claire Public Schools. He also helped coach his son’s sports teams, most recent being the JV and varsity football teams. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and cheering on the University of Michigan football and basketball teams. Steve was a wonderful man, always lending a helping hand when needed and putting his family first. He will truly be missed by all who knew him. Steve is survived by his loving wife, Lindsay of Eau Claire; parents, Stephen (Adrienne) Stuckey, Sr. of California and Jacalyn (John) Medlin of Dowagiac; step-parent, Dar Davis of Eau Claire; sons, Landon, Nathan & Mason; brother, Zach (Kourtney) Stuckey; sister, Hannah Davis; sisters, Olivia & Aubrey Stuckey; Mother & Father in law Brian (Anita) Harner, Brother in law, Hazen (Teal) Harner, sister in law Sydney (Nathan) Koenes, nieces and nephews, Emma & Greyson Stuckey, Allison Jacko & Breslin Harner; grandmother, Susan Stuckey; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his sister, Kimberly Jacko; grandparents, Victor and June Yost and Dale Stuckey; and cousin, Danny Holmes.
