Mark A. Siskaninetz

Mark A. Siskaninetz, 50, of Dowagiac, passed away on Thursday, September 30, 2021, at Ascension Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo. Mark was born November 2, 1970, in Dowagiac to Susan “Sue” Siskaninetz. He graduated from Cassopolis High School in 1989. After high school, Mark joined the United States Marine Corps where he proudly served his country 1989 to 1996. He was a dedicated and hardworking man; he worked for Judd Lumber for 14 years. In 2004, Mark purchased Fryman Construction, now known as FCI Building that he owned and operated. On November 1, 2014, he married his childhood sweetheart and the love of his life, Stephany Nystedt. Mark enjoyed the outdoors and had a love for fishing. He was known for his kindness and good sense of humor. Most of all he loved his family and will be greatly missed. Mark is survived by his mother, Susan Hamel; his loving wife, Stephany Siskaninetz; uncle, Bill (Kathy) Siskaninetz; aunt, Marge (Fred) Leffler; step-daughter, Kate (Jimmy) Pugh; granddaughter, Violet Pugh; and numerous cousins and friends. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday October 6, 2021, at 1:00PM at Newell Chapel 83313 M-51, Decatur. Friends may visit with the family from 12:00PM until the time of service.
