Thomas Tokarz

Thomas Tokarz, 78, of Benton Harbor, MI formerly of Florida, passed away Friday, September 24, 2021 at Story Point Assisted Living in Portage, MI. Thomas was born March 25, 1943 in Chicago, IL to Edward & Jean (Pluceinik) Tokarz. He graduated from Benton Harbor High School in 1961. Thomas served his country in the United States Army from 1961 until 1964. He then attended Andrews University where he received his Business Degree. On May 18, 1974 he married Susan Andres in Sodus, MI. Thomas worked for French Paper in Niles as a purchasing agent for many years. He loved going to the beach and most of all spending time with family and friends. Thomas is survived by his sister Judy Tokarz; nieces & nephews Jeff Noel, Ryan Tokarz, Joanne (Paul) Clancy, Kathy (Kevin) Rodell, Jerry Grajauskis, Mark (Cheryl) Andres, Joel (Marcia) Grajauskis, Steve (Carol) Andres, Sheri (Tom) Seay, Brad Andres; sisters-in law’s Ellen Andres and Marie Grajauskis; and brother-in-law Ernie (Carol) Andres Jr. Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, wife, nephew John Andres; and brother-in-law’s Joseph Grajauskis and Donald Andres. Arrangements have been entrusted to Starks & Menchinger Chapel and Cremation Service. A private family service will be held at a later date.
