Rosalie Angela Francis Gagliardo Anzalone, affectionately known as Nana by her grandchildren, of St. Joseph, passed away on Friday, September 3, 2021, at Spectrum Health-Lakeland. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 AM on Wednesday September 8, 2021 at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 555 Delaware Benton Harbor, with Father James Adams officiating. Burial to follow at Hickory Bluff Cemetery. A visitation will be held at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Road, St. Joseph on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 from 5:00 - 7:00 PM followed by a Rosary. Memorial contributions may be made to Saints’ John and Bernard’s Catholic Church or the American Cancer Society. Those wishing to leave an online condolence may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com Rosalie was born on June 30, 1940 to John and Molly (Tragna) Gagliardo in Benton Harbor, MI. She spent her childhood, along with her brother Michael, in Benton Harbor, and attended St. John’s Catholic School. She married Stephen Anzalone on July 18, 1959, and together they raised three children: Steven, Gina, and John. She was retired from the Riverwood Mental Health Center. Rosalie is survived by her children, Steve (Lori) Anzalone of Carmel, IN, Gina (Mark) Parrish of St. Joseph, and John (Wendy) Anzalone of Montgomery, AL; and six grandchildren, Tade, Gray, Molly, Jack and Lily Anzalone and Maggie Parrish. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen; parents, John and Molly Gagliardo; sister-in law, Adrianne Gagliardo; mother-in-law Ann Anzalone; and her best friends, Lou LaMantia, Millie Mammina, and Marie Sorce.
