Arrangements have been entrusted to Starks & Menchinger Chapel, St. Joseph. Patricia was born on April 22, 1941, to William and Wilma (Caugherty) Bischoff in St. Joseph. She graduated in 1959 from St. Joseph High School where she performed as a majorette. Patricia married Joseph Hanner in 1959. She was very involved with Girl Scouts; serving as a troop leader for the Seal of Ohio Girl Scout Council for 8 years. She had a keen eye for merchandising and displays, as evidenced by her careers at Carol’s Hallmark and LaGrande Trunk (Valparaiso, IN). She loved holiday baking, especially making perfectly spherical buckeyes. Her favorite place to visit was Sanibel Island where she would walk the beach for hours scouring for seashells. If the right beat was playing, you would find her dancing the jitterbug. Patricia was a super fan of the University of Michigan athletics. She was incredibly warm, loving, and stylish to the very end; and will be sorely missed. Patricia is survived by her children Kathryn Hanner and Mark Hanner (John Obligato) of Madison, WI; grandchildren Laurel Mazar (Adam Schwartz), Kelsey Peck (Aaron Peck), Gigi and Josie Hanner; and great-grandchildren Rowland Schwartz, Oliver Schwartz, and Millie Mazar. She was preceded in death by her parents William and Wilma Bischoff, sister Jane Filstrup, husband Joseph Hanner, and son Matthew Hanner.
