Debra “Debbie” Agens, 58, of Benton Harbor, MI passed away Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at Spectrum Health Lakeland surrounded by her family. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, August 21, 2021 at Napier Parkview Baptist Church, 245 W. Napier Ave., Benton Harbor with Pastor David Londot Sr. officiating. Friends may visit from 9:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M., Saturday at the church. For the safety of guests and the family, we ask that you please wear a mask while attending the service. A private graveside will take place on Friday, August 13, 2021 at Riverview Cemetery in St. Joseph. Memorials may be made to Baroda Bible Church or CIS (for Russian & Ukrainian Christian missions projects). Those wishing to share a memory of Debbie online may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com Debbie was born May 8, 1963 in Lansing, MI to Erik & Ella (Rouse) Fiskars. She graduated from St. Joseph High School in 1981 then attended Liberty University. On December 31, 1982 she married James Agens at Napier Parkview Baptist Church in Benton Harbor. Together they served with Trans World Radio as missionaries in Swaziland and Austria. Upon returning to Michigan, she was involved in many church activities including visitation, VBS, serving on the missions committee (to list a few), and willing to pitch in wherever needed. Debbie was a faithful servant of Jesus Christ in her many roles as loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She was a fierce prayer warrior, especially for children and youth. Debbie is survived by her husband James Agens; children Ryan Agens of Alton, IL, Jessica Agens of Benton Township, Melissa (Nathan) Stephenson of Noblesville, IN, and Candice (Zachary Scruggs) Agens of Cape Girardeau, MO; grandchildren Silas and Saphira Stephenson and Finnigan Scruggs; parents Erik & Irene Fiskars; brother Donald (Beth) Fiskars; sister Deanne (Richard) Weaver; mother-in-law Lou Ann Agens; and many wonderful sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews. Debbie was preceded in death by her mother Ella Fiskars.
