Ronald Ziarko, 68, of New Buffalo, MI, was called to heaven surrounded by his loving family on Thursday – July 29, 2021. Arrangements have been entrusted to Sommerfeld Chapel – 15 N. Barton St., New Buffalo, MI.
Ron was born on Jan. 26, 1953 in Chicago, IL to Walter and Violet Ziarko. A man who loved his family completely. Ron lived every day of his life to the fullest whether he was working around the house, helping anyone who needed it, or cheering on his beloved White Sox. A strong supporter of many charities, Ron was also a coach and well-known man around the community. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Ron is survived by his love of 44 years, Barb; his children Kim and Ryan; siblings – Walter (Denise) Ziarko, Mary Ann (Tom) Kelly, John (Mary) Ziarko, Sylvia (Tom) Martin, James (Yolanda) Ziarko, Carol (Gary) Rizzo, Casimer “Mike” (Hope) Ziarko, Albert (Janet) Ziarko and Richard (Cathy) Ziarko; sister-in-laws Ruta Ziarko, Marie Urso and Kathy Olesch; and brother-in-law Albert Olesch. He was a proud uncle and great-uncle to many nieces and nephews as well as a grand-paw to Asti, Higgins and Hopper. Ron is preceded in death by his parents - Walter and Violet and a brother – Joseph.
Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday – August 17, 11:00am, at St. Mary of the Lake Church in New Buffalo, with Father Basker Lopez officiating. Visiting with the family precedes the Mass from 9:00-11:00am at the church. Following the service there will be a Celebration of Life Gathering open house from 1:00-4:00pm at the SEEDZ BREWERY located at 16321 Red Arrow Highway, Union Pier, MI.
