Maria Reyes, 70, of Baroda, MI passed away Thursday, July 22, 2021 at Methodist Hospital in Gary, IN.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at St. John’s Catholic Church 580 Columbus Ave., Benton Harbor with Fr. James Adams officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Benton Harbor. Friends may visit from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M., Tuesday July 27, 2021 with the rosary recited at 6:30 P.M., at Starks & Menchinger Chapel and Cremation Service, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Maria was born March 31, 1951 in Weslaco, TX to Miguel & Emma (Mendez) Reyes. On November 15, 1968 she married Alfredo Reyes in Weslaco, TX. Maria was a homemaker who kept a busy schedule caring for her family. In her spare time, she enjoyed dancing, singing, playing poker and bingo.
Maria is survived by her husband Alfredo Reyes; children Alfredo Reyes Jr., Melissa Reyes; Consuelo E. Vazquez, Reyes Reyes (Isabel) Reyes, Angelita Reyes and Juan M. (Isabel) Reyes; 23 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; brother Miguel Reyes; and sister Anita Garza. Maria was preceded in death by her parents.
