Sue Ann Zelvis, 68, of St. Joseph, passed away on Tuesday, July 13, 2021, at Spectrum Health Lakeland. A celebration of life service will be held on Monday, July 19, 2021, at 11AM, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 2673 W. John Beers Rd., Stevensville. Burial will follow at Hickory Bluff Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 2673 W. John Beers Rd, Stevensville, 49127. Those wishing to leave an online condolence may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com. Arrangements have been entrusted to Starks & Menchinger Chapel & Cremation Services. Sue was born on July 9, 1953, in Benton Harbor to Robert & Bernice (Gaul) Schoenfelder. She grew up in Stevensville and graduated from Lakeshore High School. Sue worked in customer service, first, at Gast Manufacturing and, later, at Great Lakes Eye Care. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her friends and family. Sue is survived by her sons, Noah (Cathy) Zelvis of St. Joseph and Jarrod (Angie) Zelvis of St. Joseph; husband Jim Zelvis of St. Joseph; grandson Ethan; brothers Ron Schoenfelder of Eau Claire and Steve (Moselle) Schoenfelder of Richland, MI. Sue was preceded in death by her parents, Robert & Bernice Schoenfelder.
