Sylvia's Obituary
Sylvia Sue Blake, 93, of West Lafayette, IN, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 11, 2021 at Cumberland Pointe Health Campus in West Lafayette, IN. Sylvia was born on March 9, 1928 in Dowagiac to Francis and Frances (Konopinski) Krizinski.
A graveside committal service will be held at 1:30pm on Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at Riverside Cemetery, Dowagic, with Fr. Homic officiating.
Sylvia will be remembered for her love of gardening. She kept an immaculate lawn and garden at her home in Dowagiac for many years. After moving to Indiana, she enjoyed staying social by playing bingo with the other residents in her community. She also enjoyed reading. Most importantly, she loved her family dearly and will truly be missed.
Sylvia is survived by her son, Roger (Deborah) Blake; her grandchildren, Alexis (Matt) Sowder, and Ryan (Emily) Blake; her great grandchildren, Mitchell, Molly, Charlie, and Maryn; and her sister, Joan (the late Ronald) Blahuta. She is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Blake; nine siblings; and her parents.
