Beverley Mottl, 90, of Buchanan, Michigan passed away Monday, June 21, 2021 at Longmeadow - Woodland Terrace in Niles. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 A.M., Monday, June 28, 2021 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 509 W. 4th St., Buchanan, MI with Father Leo Cartagena officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery. Friends may visit Sunday, June 27, 2021 at Swem Chapel, 301 W. Front St., Buchanan, MI from 2-4 P.M., with the Rosary recited at 4:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the University of Notre Dame. Please direct your gift to the Ryan Alan Tucker Scholarship in memory of Beverley Mottl. Those wishing to share a memory of Beverley online may do so www.swemchapel.com Beverley was born February 28, 1931 in Niles, MI to Howard & Grace Harris. She graduated from Niles High School in 1949 where she was a baton twirler in the Niles Marching Band. On July 14, 1951 she married James Mottl in Niles, MI. Beverley worked as a secretary for Electro-Voice for many years. Beverley was a very feisty woman and lived life to the fullest. In her spare time, she enjoyed golfing, bowling, playing cards, sewing and crocheting. She also enjoyed coaching and attending hundreds of ballgames for her children and grandchildren. Beverley is survived by her son, Alan (Teri) Mottl, two daughters, Teresa (William) Carson and Brenda (Kirk) Tucker; five grandchildren, Cristina (Brett) Godsey, A.J. (Danielle) Mottl, Bill (Guin) Carson Jr., Kirk (Amanda) Carson and Nicole (Trent) Teshka; 14 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; sisters-in-law Evelyn Lambert and Bonnie Harris; and many nieces and nephews. Beverley was preceded in death by her parents, husband, grandson, Ryan Tucker and two brothers Frank Harris and Theodore “Spike” Wlodarek.
