Ann Marie Herrygers, 61, of St. Joseph, MI passed away on Monday – June 7, 2021 at Spectrum Health Lakeland, St. Joseph, MI. after a long battle with Ovarian Cancer. Arrangements have been entrusted to Starks & Menchinger Funeral Home – 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, MI. Ann was born on May 11, 1960 in Hart, MI to the late Peter John and Rita Marie (Theisen) Daly. On November 8, 1980 in Shelby, MI she married Randall Kent Herrygers. She attended Grand Valley State University and received her Bachelors & Master’s Degree in Business Administration. Ann was a career specialist working for the Shelby Public Schools. They moved to the St. Joseph area in 2012. Ann was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church where she was involved with the Adoration Chapel. She was very active with the soup kitchen; an organizer and participant in Relay for Life; Step-Up for Down Syndrome; a human rights activist and environmentalist; a lover of animals; a breast cancer survivor; had an inquisitive mind and superb sense of direction; loved helping young adults; avid and passionate fan of MSU; loved softball; had nine toes; Annie-dotes, an autobiographical book she was writing; worked for the KRASL art museum. Ann was an amazing wife, mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Ann is survived by her husband Randall; her two sons – Nathan (Danielle) Herrygers of Fruitport, MI and Benjamin (Katelyn) Herrygers of Holland, MI; five grandchildren – Gracelyn, Alice, Jameson, Winifred and Opheleia; brothers – Peter A. (Cam) Daly, Matthew (Pam) Daly, Mark Daly, Martin Joseph “Joe” Daly, Jon (Christi) Daly and William “Bill” (Kim) Daly; and sisters – Mary Grace Woodley, Elizabeth (Angelo) Napolitano and Kathleen (Paul) Stuart. She is preceded in death by her parents – Peter and Rita Daly; a brother – Michael Daly and an aunt Betty Theisen. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday – June 12, 11:00am at St. Joseph Catholic Church – 220 Church St., St. Joseph, MI. Burial will follow at North Shore Memory Gardens.
