Glenda's Obituary
Glenda Alice (Moser) Tomak passed away this last Sunday, May 31, 2021. She was 74 yrs old, born March 27, 1947 in Watervliet, MI to her parents Walter and Dora (Blanshan) Moser. Glenda grew up on a dairy farm where she had an older sister Diane (Moser) Tortorelli who along with her parents preceded her in death. She is survived by a younger sister Margerie (Moser) Godines and two younger brothers Daniel and Randall Moser in addition to her husband, son and grandkids. Glenda graduated from Decatur high school in 1966 and in the same year married Ronald Tomak. They bought a farm together and had one son Brent Tomak. He would give Glenda two wonderful grandchildren Jasmine and Skyler Tomak.
Glenda always did her best to help or be there for everyone she cared about. She remained close with all of her friends and family but especially her siblings. Every Sunday she would serve up a special dinner where any or all of the family was invited and welcome. Everyone that knew Glenda knew how well she could cook and how good all of her dishes and desserts were. Her Christmas cookies had something to delight everyone. She loved to bake and it showed in her "black bottom cups", her cakes and birthday cakes and all of the dozen or so kinds of pie she made.
Glenda was a licensed beautician and also worked as a job coach/procurer for Van Buren County Mental Health. She was talented, friendly, caring and appreciated by everyone that knew her. While anyone that encountered her will have a good memory or a funny/heart-warming story, all will surely smile fondly when they remember her. We all will miss her for the good she either carried or created. The family asks that any gifts or donations be given to Alzheimer's research, www.alz.org.
