Shirley Anne Bruno

Shirley A. Bruno, 79, of Buchanan, passed away peacefully, on Thursday, May 27, 2021 at Goshen Hospital. A celebration of life drum and pipe ceremony will be held at 1 pm on Friday, June 4, 2021, at Swem Chapel, 301 W. Front St., Buchanan, MI. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Buchanan with a graveside service. Visitation will be held one hour prior from 12-1 pm. Memorial contribution may be made to ASPCA. She loved nature, Lake Michigan and all animals. Shirley was very spirited, funny and sassy, people loved being around her. Most of all, she cherished time spent with her family. Shirley is survived by her children, Nancy Benak, Lucille “Lucy” Benak and William (Sarah) Benak; many grandchildren and one great-grandson. She is reunited with her son, John Benak, Jr.; brother, Louie Bruno, Jr. and many beloved pets.
