Gordon R. “Ricky” Brown, 70, of Benton Harbor, passed away on Sunday, May 23, 2021 at his home. Arrangements have been entrusted to Starks & Menchinger Chapel & Cremation Services. Ricky was born on December 13, 1950, in Grand Rapids, to Gordon & Cledah (Rimer) Brown. He attended Benton Harbor High School. On November 16, 1975, he married Karen Howard. They were happily married for 42 years until her passing in 2017. In the early 1970’s, Ricky began working as a truck driver. He enjoyed being out on the road and interacting with his customers. He continued to drive until this past November when his illness finally caught up with him. Ricky loved staying busy, whether he was tinkering around with car parts, spending time with his beloved Boxer or Mini-pincher dogs, or watching Godzilla, he was always doing something. Ricky is survived by his son, Cory Brown; grandchildren, Audriauna “Audi”, Michael, Heather & Savanah Brown; and sister, Barbara Goderis. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gordon & Cledah; wife, Karen; and sons, Richard & Robert Brown.
